About Me

My photo
Liverpool, United Kingdom
My work has developed a lot over the 3 years I've studied for my degree. It has evolved into a body of work that deals with the human form as an environment. I've mapped and explored my own body inside and out in many ways through print, drawing and various media as a type of research to address self identity

big changes

so...

Now I'm not in the room on my own...I'm in the room before it by Sue's big boat!

Its a nice big light room, looks far more contemporary than the darker rooms I think. Which I'm happy about...I want that "white wall gallery" feel for my work.

I'm no longer doing a vidoe installation I dont feel I have time, and I'm not entirely convinced on the concept of it. My tutor also has been talking about a blog/text piece to go on the wall...which I'm not sure if is really an option now as my space in the gallery has changed. Which leads me onto the fact I've created some prints in the print room recently that I'm really happ with so I'm going to possibly occupy some wall space too.

Heres a few photos of the space I'll be occupying...I'm going to collage/photoshop/sketch onto some print outs of these to plan what I may do with the space.

and heres a sketche of the layout of the whol gallery and where I will be situated in regards to others work. I'm a little worried about being maybe too close to Sue's boat...which is huge! but i'm sure it will all be fine once we've all sketched all our ideas out and discussed it.

Welcome to my blog! :)

This page is primarily a documentation of my art work I create. I'm a BA Fine Art, Mixed Media Student currently in my final year of my degree.

My work deals with ideas of the fragility of the human condition and often consists of images of my own body. I tend to work with materials that reflect the delicacy of the human form such as stitch and fabrics. My drawing style i like to describe as a "nervous" line, which also ties in with the themes of all my work.
